The New Telecommunications Law

The conference: 'The New Telecommunications Law - the Amended Act and Other Changes in the Electronic Communications Law' will be devoted to the amended Telecommunications Law adopted by the Sejm [lower chamber of the Polish parliament].

Wacław Knopkiewicz and Jacek Wilczewski, attorneys-at-law from the firm, will present the following issues:

• the strengthening of the position and new powers of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications [Prezes UKE];
• the new rules for concluding, amending and terminating an agreement on the provision of telecommunications services;
• the new obligations of operators relating to data retention, national defence and security;
• the key assumptions of the non-EU draft of the amended Telecommunications Law;
• changes in the legal requirements for investments in the telecommunications sector.
